London maintains its position as a leading centre for capital markets

In 2023 the London Stock Exchange (LSE) retained its position as a leading centre for equity capital raising. During the year, more equity capital was raised by companies on the LSE than on the Amsterdam and Frankfurt stock exchanges combined. Over £18bn was raised over the period demonstrating the LSE’s resilience in the face of challenging global economic conditions.
