IPO funding up 35% year on year for 2019

Holland Bendelow’s  latest UK Stock Market Report shows that in spite of the distraction of Brexit, the UK stock markets have continued to move forward.

The report highlights include

  • IPO Capital raised in London was £5.78billion, a 35% year on year increase on H1 2018
  • More capital was raised by companies on London stock markets than across all the European Exchanges (3x more than the next European exchange)
  • AIM accounted for 65% of all IPO and further issues capital raised and 3x more than the next European Growth Market.
  • The combined value of AIM companies listed on the market has now reached £100billion
  • The London Stock Exchanges Main Market supported companies with new funding raises of £2.5 billion in the first half of 2019
  • There are now 220 non UK companies listed on the Main Market
  • Total value of companies listed on the Main Market is £3,800billion
